Choosing the right charging
Charlie Cook > CEO & founder, Rightcharge
Here at Rightcharge, our day-to-day aim is to help electric vehicle drivers choose the right home charge point, while also looking to save them money on their already reduced running costs through choosing an EV-friendly energy tariff.
Rightcharge was set up two years ago, and envisaged an easier process for EV drivers to choose their home charge point and benefit from reduced running costs through Smart Charging.
Rightcharge can include Lookers Plc and Leasing.com, amongst others, as companies who have chosen us as their recommended charging partner. Their customers and employees access the best prices from a truly national network of over 50 home charge point installation companies, who share our aims to provide the very highest standards of customer service and charger choice.
Choice, according to all our partners, is key to their customer service aims. One size does not fit all. “Do you have off street parking?”; “Will your house have solar panels?”; “Are you planning a second EV?”. The answers to which will ensure you are presented with a choice of relevant chargers for your specific car and connected with a local installer.
“Our aim is to make cheaper and cleaner charging easy.”
Our aim is to help our partners sell more EVs. By offering the answer to the inevitable question “how do I charge my car?”, we can:
• Remove the need for what can be a lengthy conversation
• Allow the partner to focus on selling
• Deliver them additional brand value by having a trusted solution
• Offer choice if the customer requires a cheaper energy tariff
All while contributing to our partners' net zero ambitions and offering them a revenue-share model to grow their margin per vehicle sale.
However, we don’t only help drivers who are lucky enough to have a driveway. Our automotive partners have a range of customers who also need the right solution for on-street charging, public charging, working place installations and ways to support their vehicle fleets going electric.
For example, our Public Charging Hub introduced drivers to all of the resources that we would want our own friends and family to know about and use when they go electric – like the Electric Juice Network from Octopus Energy, which drivers can sign up to through Rightcharge to access a free £5 credit to get them started.
We are open to business for new partners and we can offer choice, cost savings and excellent customer service from one of the largest and best-performing installer networks in the UK.
