Bridgestone has launched a number of new tyres this year, including its new Potenza Sport Evo and Duravis Camper All-Season tyres. One feature common to both is their Enliten technology. According to Bridgestone, Enliten is a combination of cutting-edge technologies which provide maximum safety, outstanding tyre performance and improved sustainability characteristics while also ensuring that tyres with the technology are suitable for electric vehicles.

The Potenza Sport Evo builds on the company’s existing Potenza Sport tyre and is said to offer enhanced sports performance, wet control, longevity and fuel/energy efficiency as well as an expanded tyre range. Bridgestone gave us the opportunity to sample the tyre at the Donington Park circuit, fitted to a BMW M4. Driving included harsh braking, cornering on the circuit, and a slalom course to demonstrate the tyre’s potential. It performed extremely well, providing high levels of grip in cornering and on the slalom section while also demonstrating stability and rapid deceleration under harsh braking.
The Duravis Camper All Season is Bridgestone’s first-ever motorhome tyre. Bridgestone says the tyre combines cross-season versatility, high load capacity (some motorhomes operate at close to gross weight), excellent wear performance and EV-readiness. The tyre is designed to provide high levels of safety and control at any time of the year, and has been given a best-in-class EU label A-grade performance. The tyre also carries 3PMSF (Three Peak Mountain Snowflake) and M+S (Mud and Snow) certifications. According to Bridgestone: “The Duravis Camper All Season’s capabilities in the wet are made possible by a high-silica content compound, supported by high-volume shoulder slots for better water evacuation. Refined pattern stiffness enables the tyre’s dry braking performance, while a directional V‑shaped pattern delivers its snow mobility.”
A reinforced carcass construction has been designed to cope with heavy loads while improving tyre life. Since camper vans can be parked up for extended periods, the tyre has an optimised pattern design. Its CP (Camping Pneu) tyre wall marking indicates that it has been specifically engineered for motorhome use.
Bridgestone claims long life for the tyre, attributed to the high pattern stiffness and balanced contact pressure distribution to provide an even wear profile. To protect against kerb impacts, the tyre has an integrated sidewall protector rib.
The tyre carries an EU label B-grade for rolling resistance, helping to provide optimum fuel efficiency. The tyre is also certified to EU label A-grade for exterior noise performance. The tyre is now available in 15- and 16-inch sizes.
