Rightcharge debuts intelligent ‘Gold Card’ to unlock the UK’s widest fleet public charging saving opportunity
Rightcharge, the EV fleet charging payments platform, has launched the UK’s widest multi-network savings programme for public charging. The Gold Card, a bolt-on to the Rightcharge Standard Card, combines market-leading rates with intelligent cost tracking tools to dismantle the financial and operational barriers to fleet electrification.
Low rates and wide coverage: Significant savings across AC and DC
Gold Card holders access rapid/ultra-rapid charging for 59p/kWh and fast charging for 49p/kWh; a saving of up to 35% compared to standard PAYG rates. Coverage spans England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland through four partners: Sainsbury’s Smart Charge, Ionity, BP Pulse and Be.EV.
At £4.99 per driver per month, the Gold Card offers a lower membership price than most existing options while delivering four times the network coverage. It builds on the Rightcharge Standard Card, which provides PAYG access to 79% of the UK’s public charging network.
Removing decision fatigue
Market-leading rates create the opportunity, but consistent savings require more than just access. Rightcharge is building an intelligent platform that simplifies the charging experience. It provides clear visibility into charging options, streamlines payments across multiple networks, and eliminates the decision fatigue that comes with managing different apps and pricing structures.
“Public charging costs and complexity are two of the biggest obstacles to fleet electrification. With the Gold Card, we’ve built something that addresses both,” said Charlie Cook, CEO of Rightcharge. “It’s the first platform to combine multi-network access with transparent cost visibility, giving drivers the simplicity they need while delivering savings of up to 35%.”
Piloted with The AA
The AA have been piloting the Gold Card with strong results. Sam Biggs, Roadside Fleet Manager, commented: “Reducing the cost of public charging is one of the biggest opportunities we have to accelerate electrification across our fleet. What’s been particularly encouraging is how easily our drivers have taken to it. Payment takes seconds and the charger locations work well for our operations.”
